What's New at Morning Starr

We had a great time at the New Frontiers event "Dog Days of Summer" along with many other animals groups! We had two kitten adoptions to great forever homes!

Also, if you shop at New Frontiers on August 18th, Wednesday, they will donate 5% of their sales for that day to Morning Starr. !! That would be a good day to shop and help the animals at the same time. I will be there shopping so maybe we will see you?

Don't forget about Rex the little puppy we took in. He is in a great foster home temporarily. It would be great for him to bond and grow with his forever family. His foster mom says he is very quiet and sleeps all night beside her. What a love.. He gets along very well with other dogs and goes nicely for walks on a leash. He's had his first shots and will be neutered on Thursday. If you are interested please contact us at the number below. He will be featured in the Ad King this week as our pet of the week. Check him out, cut it out and place it in a place where people can see it. Thanks!

The date for our annual bake sale will be November 20th. That is a Saturday and will be held at the New Super Wal-Mart. So get out those baking pans and plan to bake, come out to help, eat and have fun! Will inform about the hours as the event gets closer.

Some stats are: We have taken in as many animals to date as we did all last year. We expect our expenses will be substantially more because of that. Remember us in your giving and help us to take in even more animals so that they will not have to be surrendered to a place that does euthanize. We are always looking for more foster homes.
There is a puppy with a broken leg that needs a special foster home without small children. She is very friendly but we are afraid a small child might accidentally hurt her leg while it is healing. Best Friends Animal Society found her at a rest stop on their ride down here to bring us a burro that was saved from starving. They took the puppy, Ginger, back with them but we promised to do our best to find a foster home for her.

Yours for the animals,
